Mars Metal Heads to Irving Shipbuilding’s 3rd Annual Supplier and Awards Day

On Friday, October 9, Mars Metal will be in Halifax for Irving Shipbuilding’s 3rd annual Supplier and Awards Day. The event brings together representatives from more than 35 suppliers to recognize excellence across Irving’s supply chain. We’re proud to be counted among them.

A Part of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy

In March, Mars Metal was awarded a multi-million-dollar, multi-year subcontract from Irving Shipbuilding to produce lead ballast components for the Royal Canadian Navy’s River-class destroyers under Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy. Every component is manufactured at our Burlington, Ontario facility using 100 percent Canadian-sourced materials and Canadian labour.

Meet Our Team in Halifax

We’re grateful to Irving Shipbuilding for the invitation, and we’re looking forward to celebrating the suppliers who keep this program moving. Kevin Milne, President, and Bill Souter, Custom Keel Sales & Design, will be representing Mars Metal. If you’re attending, come say hello. We’d welcome the chance to connect with fellow suppliers and the Irving team.
